A BLUEPRINT FOR: a week in Ibiza
The best stays, shopping, day trips, and nightlife sourced from all my friends who know best – plus, beach-to-dinner style tips
Wearstlerworld,
The reputation of Ibiza is one of duality: a hard-partying island on the one hand, and on the other hand of deep relaxation, peaceful nature and super excellent food, design, and music.
If you know me, you can guess which path I took (for the most part!). This was reinforced by the fact that my family rented a home there with our good friends Richard and Harvey of Flamingo Estate (Richard has actually just started a Substack of his own), and Lauren and Jesse who both work in the music industry. We all like to make the most of every moment of the day.
And, I was really captivated by Ibiza. Especially, I think, because as you know, we’re rebuilding our home in Malibu, and so I’m particularly fixated on beach and coastal inspirations. (In this post, I’ll also share a few of the pictures I snapped destined for that mood board.)
In any case: here’s my guide to restaurants and beach clubs, shopping and design, markets and farms, music and nightlife – plus, a day trip to Formentera. It’s really packed with so many great off-the-beaten-path spots recommended by close friends — and, as always, some I picked up from AmiGo, a new way I’m exploring destinations, and where I’m starting to also share my guides. (I’d absolutely suggest joining; you can use the invite code KWGO. I love to follow photographers who I know have a great eye for the aesthetic, like Sam Youkilis and Pia Riverola.)
I’m really excited to share my Ibiza with you. And, let me know what I shouldn’t miss next time I go, because I’m sure there will be next time.
