What keeps coming to mind for me this week is the Rorschach test—the abstract inkblot images in which we all see something different. Everything we’ve experienced and felt in our lives shapes and tweak our perspective, and so our response is a really powerful psychological insight.

I am an optimist, and I always want to see the best in something.

When I look at L.A. right now, I see some incredible communities of people coming together to help each other out, already imagining our next chapter and finding opportunity.

A friend abroad asked how she could help—and the best way is simply to come to L.A.
