Wearstlerworld,

In the Los Angeles fires, we lost our home in Malibu—a home I really treasured, that had been with our family for 20 years, that is—or was—full of so many family memories. The birthday parties, the movie nights, the family dinners. Hanging out with our kids. Oliver playing music for us on guitar in the family room. Hearing the waves crash, scenes of the dogs running on the beach or sunbathing by the windows.

To me, Malibu is the most beautiful and special place in the world. Our house there was more than just a home, it was a symbol of the love and connection our family has created over the past 20-plus years. The moment you stepped inside, you could feel the energy of joy and warmth that filled every corner.

And Malibu itself embodies a sense of community that has forever impacted me. Many of our neighbors had spent their entire lives in their homes, shaping the soul of this extraordinary place to make it as incredible and special as it is.
